u should get ur hair colored by a professional the first time. then u can maintain it at home. u can use the l'oreal feria collection they have great colors and u can use it urself at home.

I would go with a professional for the first time just to get tips from them and ask anything u need to know before attempting it yourself. Just to be on the safe side

You can absolutely do it yourself! Just leave the color on your grays for about 5 min longer. I like Garnier Fructis the best!

lol, ok you can do it yorself, i know everything about hair, you start wear your grey is and do the roots, which is your scalp then you around ur hairline, which is the hair around your face and ears and back of neck, you need sumone to help die the back of your hair, and then pour the die into your hair length, then scrunch it all over so your hairs coverd, u may need 2 packs of hair die, i suggest a colour slightly darker than your actual hair coulor,x get a good brand, also you need to wait a week after washing your hair a bit to see the actually colour, x

You can do it yourself, here are some tips. Put Vaseline around the skin near the hair- front and back, all around- this makes the color come off easier if you accidentally drip.

It's not brain surgery- I'm a guy, and I can do it. I recommend doing it on a weekend, because if you make a little mistake, like getting some on your skin, it will come off in a few days tops.

Also, put a towel underneath you when you do it, just in case it drips. There is a BIG difference between medium brown, light brown, and dark brown. Dark brown is almost black!

One of the brands, I forget which, has a little comb on the bottle, it makes it easier to apply it- get that one if its your first time. It's just like washing your hair, it is very simple, and a pro will charge you through the nose!

You can do the back, too, it's not hard- just get a hand held mirror and hold it up to the bathroom mirror and feel around.

If you do it yourself ( which is tempting with the holidays comming up) use something specifically for grey hair. It may be a good idea to go to a professional if you have lots of grey or it is very coarse and wiry.

DO IT YOURSELF!

Go to Sally's Beauty Supply.

Get Loreal Excellence, they will help you with the color, peroxide, and container.

Tell you the mix. Just a quick note: (from grey around the edges)

Do the edges First for and extra 5 - l0 minutes then the rest of the roots. I always leave it on longer than recommended (10 min. longer)

You will save ALOT of money, and be real happy with the results.

It's easy.

good luck

EITHER WAY WITH YOU DOIN IT OR A PRO .. IT WILL STILL COME OUT GOOD .. IF YOU DO IT WITH A PRO .. ITS GOIN TO COST YOU ALOT MORE .. BUT IF YOU DO IT BY YOURSELF THEN JUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU KEEP IT IN A LIL LONGER THAN SAYS .. AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU PUT ENUF WHERE NEEDED!

Do it yourself. Especially if you are staying with your natural color. Just make sure you get down in there by the roots. Otherwise, just do what will make you comfortable or have a friend do it.

definitely do it yourself! it's not hard at all, and if you're worried about dying your forehead or whatnot, just rub vaseline on those areas before.

the first time i dyed my hair was when i was 13, and i did it by myself, and i was fine.
